Believing in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord

To say that one who wishes to be saved can be saved without believing in Jesus Christ is heresy of the worst kind. Clearly, believing in Jesus Christ is necessary for our salvation. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only thing that gives us eternal life. We get to heaven by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Believing in Jesus Christ is easy but for many people getting to the point of believing can be most difficult because Satan has deceived them and they are confused. Believing in Jesus Christ is the most important decision you will make in life! You are not alone. Believing in Jesus Christ is more than accepting a fact. It involves accepting a life altering fact. Believing in Jesus Christ is a Spiritual decision. The Holy Spirit makes the gospel clear to the unregenerate person so that he or she can choose Salvation. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way you can be saved. (John 14:6) Believing in Jesus Christ is the only Way to get into Heaven and be reconciled back to God. The world gives glitter and false hopes, but believing in Jesus Christ is the real deal. Jesus can make your life have real meaning. Believing in Jesus Christ is not a blanket insurance policy that you will never suffer trials. Only those who know God as a living, indwelling presence are God's children. Believing in Jesus Christ is an important part of the full truth about God. Believing in Jesus Christ is not a religion. Once you start reading the Bible, you will actually find that He was opposed to religion. Being a Christian is more than calling yourself one if it is popular for you to do so. Believing in Jesus Christ is only a part of Christianity, abiding by his teachings is also a major part of the religion. Christianity, "the way" whatever you call believing in Jesus Christ is the "one true" religion. Therefore, this believing in Jesus Christ is not a one-time deal and it is all over with. You must be committed unto Him or else you are no longer a believer and NOT The Way to Heaven, according to the Bible. You are Christian, even if you have a different way of looking at the religion then another. Believing in Jesus Christ is what makes you a Christian. Believing in Jesus Christ is believing the power of love is greater than the power of evil. Are you willing to trust Jesus, and to believe in the power of love? It is declared that more than believing in Jesus Christ is required, and the reality is that if believing in Jesus Christ is not accompanied by evidence of good works, there is no real belief in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Not only that, but believing in Jesus Christ is the means by which the gift of decreed goodness in God's eyes is given, along with the ability to do Good. Believing in Jesus Christ is obeying Him. Believing in Jesus Christ is ALL that you need in your life. He ALONE is able to hold your future together forever, enabling you to go all the way through life. Instead of men sacrificing their sons, God sacrificed his own son for the sins of men. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only thing that will bring mankind true happiness. This is what gives us "joy unspeakable and full of glory."

Are We On The Brink Of Destruction?

Christians who are interested in understanding end time events, and let's be truthful and confess that we all have such interest, will encounter a raft of jokers who claim to know when the world will come to an end. Some of these jokers prophesy a date, and when that date has come and gone, they make some frivolous excuse why it was wrong, and then gone on to prophesy another date. These are false prophets, and even some churches engage in this foolishness, and yet our interest in end time events has not diminished.

The unvarnished truth, is that God, and God alone, knows when the world will end. This undeniable truth is confirmed in Holy Writ, in words like these, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36). Some famous scientists are now saying that the world will end, and they give a time line, but you can ignore them, since they know very little about such matters, just like they are clueless as to how the world began.

What Christians can know, because the Bible gives us very clear guidelines, are the circumstances that give rise to the commencement of the end of time. Note carefully what Paul says, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." (2 Timothy 3:1), and the world have experienced perilous times on a continuous basis since then, but the world has not ended. Paul went on to list a number of things that will happen before the end kicks in, and many of those things occur over and over again.

People, even diligent Bible students, are apt to not see the distinction between universal destruction, which will occur during the last seven years on earth, known as "The Tribulation", and national or regional destruction of which Sodom and Gomorrah are typical.

It is necessary, therefore, to understand and appreciate the horrific circumstances and the divine judgment in which God unleashed his fury on Sodom and Gomorrah.

A search through the history of Sodom and Gomorrah shows some interesting facts that are scarcely known. When we think of God's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, we think of just two cities in the region, but that is wrong. There were five evil cities in that region, and before the fire and brimstone judgment, they were devastated by an invading army:

"And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations; That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar." (Genesis 14:1-2)

The outcome of the war was decisive:

"And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim; With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five. And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain. ." (Genesis 14:8-10)

These five cities, Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and Zoar (also called Bela), suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of King Chedorlaomer, but they did not repent and turn away from their wickedness, and God visited them yet again. Christians should note that out of the five cities, Zoar was the only one spared, because Lot had prayed for it to be saved:

"Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar." (Genesis 19:20-22)

That the four cities were destroyed at the same time by fire and brimstone are clearly stated in the Bible, thus, "And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath." (Deuteronomy 29:23)

Sodom and Gomorrah are used as a metaphor throughout the Bible to represent the four lawless cities that God destroyed with fire and brimstone. Many Bible readers do not understand that, and that Sodom and Gomorrah were the two largest cities.

It is vital for us to understand that when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, he did not destroy the whole world, just a desperately wicked province. God can do the same again, anytime, especially if the circumstances today are the same or similar to those that caused their destruction.

When Christians talk or write about Sodom and Gomorrah, they always refer to the rampant homosexuality, as if that was the only despicable trouble afflicting those residents. When trying to understand the reasons for God's shocking intervention, we must see the whole gamut of ills those people perpetuated.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because the people became oppressive, and their sins reached new heights, i.e., in God's eyes they became "very grievous":

"And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;" (Genesis 18:20). Even the wicked people were crying out for relief. Some people think that oppression is merely a political device, but it is not and God makes it clear that he is taking note, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." (1 Peter 3:12)

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because the people became pompous, mean spirited, and ignored the poor and helpless.

"Your sister Sodom and her daughters were proud. They had too much to eat and too much time on their hands, and they did not help poor, helpless people." (Ezekiel 16:49). Today, the world sees the poor and helpless as a disease, people to scorn and reject, but God takes a different view, because the poor are often the helpless victims of the rich and powerful.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because the people became excessively proud and their way of life led them to do terrible things.

"Sodom and her daughters became too proud and began to do terrible things in front of me. So I punished them." (Ezekiel 16:50). When so-called advanced countries are legalizing same sex marriage, and the President of the USA calls and congratulates a newly married same sex couple, and David Cameron, the UK Prime Minister, goes into developing countries and tells them to legalize sodomy or face withdrawal of financial aid, then you understand the situation.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of severe and widespread idolatry:

"For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day." (Deuteronomy 29:26-28)

There are few sins more toxic in God's estimation than idolatry, a distressing repudiation of God, and the values he has given to humanity. When people turn to idolatry, then there is but a small step to go to invoke God's ultimate sanction. To be idolatrous is to live with the sword of Damocles dangling, menancing, and ready to fall at any given moment.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they descended into habitual ungodliness.

"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly." (2 Peter 2:6)

Ungodliness is the final step on the ladder down into perdition. When people have withered spiritually, destroyed their consciences, turned their backs on God irretrievably, live lives of continuous blasphemy, and would murder God gladly if they could, then they have entered the realm of the ungodly. For good reason the Bible says, "Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous." (Psalm 1:5)

Now look around you, look overseas, and see if you do not see similar situations to the one prior to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha. Some people think that the present situation is much worse; because we are living in the Age of Grace.

Do you see any reason why God should treat this present age any differently from the way he treated Sodom and Gomorrha? I don't.

Enough said.

Unto Us A Child Is Born...

December 25th is Christmas, the traditional day when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. This time of year, movies, TV shows, lawn nativities, music, and Christmas plays tell the story of the baby in the manger. Almost everyone knows this story. It's the story of Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, the shepherds, and the wise men. But how many people realize the events of Jesus's birth were foretold hundreds of years in advance? That's right. Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus, God foretold the place of the Messiah's birth. He also told us about many of the events surrounding His birth, including the exact window of time in which He would be born. When Jesus fulfilled these prophecies, they revealed His true identity to the world. Are your friends and family aware of this? If not, Christmas is the perfect opportunity to tell them about these prophecies and to share the Gospel with them. The Prophecies of His Birth Here are just a few of the messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus: 1) His Place of Birth - Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, the prophet Micah revealed the birthplace of the Messiah - Bethlehem. He said while Bethlehem is only a small village, a ruler of Israel whose origins are from the distant past will come from her (Micah 5:2). The Book of Matthew tells us Bethlehem is the birthplace of Jesus. When the Roman Emperor demanded a census be taken throughout the empire, people were required to return to their ancestral towns to register. As a descendant of King David, Joseph was required to go to Bethlehem, taking his wife Mary with him (Luke 2:1-5). While they were there, Jesus was born in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1). 2) The Miraculous Means of His Birth - Once again, hundreds of years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah relayed a message from God to King Ahaz. In His message, God promised to send a miraculous sign. And what was the sign? A virgin would give birth to a child. Needless to say, this is something that had never happened before. Isaiah said the child would be named "Immanuel," which means "God is with us" (Isaiah 7:14). According to the Book of Matthew, Jesus fulfilled this prophecy as well. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But while she was still engaged, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph considered breaking the engagement, until an angel appeared to him in a dream and told him the child was conceived of the Holy Spirit. The angel said to name Him Jesus because He would save people from their sins (Matthew 1:18-21). 3) The Details of His Ancestry - Almost two thousand years before the birth of Jesus, Jacob said the Messiah would come from the family of Judah (Genesis 49:10). Both the Book of Matthew and the Book of Luke reveal the lineage of Jesus, showing Him to be a descendant of Judah (Luke 3:23-38, Matthew 1:1-17). More than a thousand years before Jesus, God promised David He would place one of his descendants on the throne. He said the royal line of David would live on forever and ever (Psalm 132:11-12). Three hundred years later, Jeremiah said God would raise up a righteous king who rules with wisdom from the line of King David (Jeremiah 23:5-6, 33:15). Both of these prophecies refer to the Messiah, and once again, both the Book of Matthew and the Book of Luke confirm Jesus is a descendant of King David (Luke 1:32-33, Matthew 1:1-17). 4) Great Kings Will Present Him with Gifts - A thousand years before the birth of Jesus, Solomon predicted the Western kings of Tarshish and the eastern kings of Sheba and Seba would bestow gifts upon the Messiah (Psalm 72:10). After Jesus was born, wise men from the east followed a star in the sky to Bethlehem. When they arrived and saw Jesus, they bowed down to worship Him. Paying Him homage and tribute, they opened their treasure chests and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matthew 2:1-2, 11). 5) He Will Be Called Out of Egypt - Seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus, Hosea said the Messiah would be called out of Egypt (Hosea 11:1). Jesus fulfilled this prophecy as well. The Book of Matthew tells us an angel appeared to Joseph and told him to flee to Egypt because King Herod was trying to kill the newborn child. So Joseph, Mary, and Jesus fled to Egypt. After Herod died, the angel once again appeared in Joseph's dream and told him it was safe to take Mary and Jesus back to Israel (Matthew 2:13-20). 6) He Will Bring Light to Galilee - Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus, Isaiah said a time would come when Galilee of the Gentiles which lies between the Jordan and the sea would be filled with glory. A light would shine for the people who walk in darkness, for a child will be born and His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:1-7). In other words, the Messiah would appear in Galilee. Jesus fulfilled this prophecy too. After leaving Egypt, Jesus grew up in Nazareth. This small town was located in the province of Galilee between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Later in life, Jesus began His ministry in Galilee, preaching first in Nazareth and then in Capernaum (Matthew 4:12-17). Today, He is known far and wide as "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace." 7) The Exact Timing of His Birth - During the Babylonian captivity, the angel Gabriel visited the prophet Daniel. He told Daniel precisely 483 years would pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until the Messiah comes (Daniel 9:25). This means the Messiah had to appear at that particular time in history. Did this happen? Yes. According to the Bible, the command to rebuild the Temple was given in 457 B.C. (Ezra 7:11-26). 483 years later brings us to A.D. 27 - the precise moment in time when Jesus began His ministry. No one before or after Jesus could possibly fulfill this prophecy. And history records that Jesus is the only one on earth at that time who fulfilled all the messianic prophecies. This means Jesus is the only one who ever has and ever can fulfill them. In addition, Gabriel said after this time, the Messiah will be killed, "appearing to have accomplished nothing" (Daniel 9:26). This is exactly what happened to Jesus. He was crucified (John 9:18), and at first, it appeared His ministry accomplished nothing. Yet history reveals otherwise. Conclusion Fulfilled prophecy is evidence Jesus is the Messiah. Is it any wonder Christianity spread so quickly in the first century? Many of those alive in the earliest days of Christianity witnessed the fulfillment of the messianic prophecies (Acts 2:32). This is why Paul used the scriptures as his primary tool for evangelism (Acts 17:2). Remember, the New Testament was not yet a part of the Bible. The scriptures included only the Old Testament. So how did Paul teach about Jesus from the Old Testament? By showing others how Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophecies! Not only was Jesus born at the right time, in the right place, and under the right circumstances - His entire life, from beginning to end, was a fulfillment of prophecy. Jesus gave sight to the blind (Isaiah 35:5-6). He raised the dead (Daniel 12:2). A friend betrayed Him (Psalm 41:9) for the exact sum of 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12). His enemies pierced His hands and feet (Psalm 22:16) and divided His clothes (Psalm 22:17-18). His friends buried Him in a rich man's tomb (Isaiah 53:9), and three days later, He rose from the dead (Psalm 16:10). The Christmas story is a story of fulfilled prophecy. It's the story of the birth of the savior of the world - our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

Feeling Overwhelmed? What are you chasing after more? Time with God, money, people, or possessions? When you begin to experience stress, fatigue, and a feeling of being burdened, it's time to pull back and reevaluate why.

Oftentimes, we take on too much that God has not called us to, and we take on the responsibilities of others; this is called a false sense of responsibility. When we are living in God's Divine plan, there is peace and order. When we don't place God first, our lives become unmanageable. We have a sense that we cannot handle all of life's problems. Let's face it, life is tough and without spending time with God to hear His voice and direction; we will get burdened.

The enemy has a plan to create as much havoc and chaos is our lives, and keep us distracted.

Just because something seems good, does not mean it is good for us. We are not to copy what others are doing either. So many times, people get frustrated and overwhelmed because they are trying to mimic what someone else is doing.

You are not meant to do everything and be everything to everybody, this can lead to people-pleasing. If you please man more and not God, you are going to be weighed down.

God has specific tasks for each one of us, but you will not know what those are unless you spend time with God. Our busyness, is not Godly or Holy, but a tactic of the enemy to wear us out. Don't try and follow what the crowd does, but know what your unique plan is from God.

Other people will not like it when you tell them, "No," be prepared for this. You must know what YOU are supposed to do. Stop looking around at everyone else for direction. God has not called you to be a copycat. You will find that others will want you to do what they are doing, but you must step away from the desire to please man.

To get your life back in order and free from the pressures and demands of people and life, pull away and be with God alone, especially when you are exhausted. Being tired and overworked is not God's plan for you. It does not matter what other's expect from you, but what God desires for you.

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-30

Some questions to reflect on:

1. What do you need to cut back on or cut out of your life to be free from over-responsibility?
2. What do you crave and desire most from your life? Are you pursuing God first?
3. Are you a people-pleaser? How do you know? What can you do differently?
4. Do you feel overwhelmed, burdened? If yes, why? Do you believe this is God's plan for you?

Do You Have the Christmas Spirit Yet?

How do you prepare for holidays? For most of us, beginning with the days before Thanksgiving and continuing all through and until the very last minute of December 24th our life is a chaotic balancing act. Our list of "to do's" have us running around breathlessly through crowded shopping malls and grocery stores to find the perfect gift or ingredient for our special celebration. We try to fit in time for all the nostalgic traditions of Christmas such as decking the halls with boughs of holly, filling the tree with endless strings of lights and colorful ornaments, baking dozens of cookies, sweet breads, and other goodies for friends and family, and we'll even struggle to squeeze in time to write cards to those we miss and love but cannot see throughout year. Every year the balancing act becomes a little more difficult as the list of "to do's" grow a little longer. But most of us don't mind. In fact, we'll even give it our best effort because we mistakenly of think that the more of these type of activities we do, the more of the Christmas spirit we will feel, thus giving us a wonderful holiday season. Of course nothing could be more wrong.

I can remember years when I did all these things and still my joy did not seem complete when Christmas came. There were even years when I felt like I was not ready for Christmas or felt like I missed out on Christmas because there was an obvious emptiness and loneliness where the Christmas Spirit should have been. I use to think the joy must have "come short" because I didn't do enough of those "holiday tasks", or that I didn't do it with a the "jolly spirit". But I know now it was really because I had the wrong Christmas "spirit" in my heart. It was only the commercial Christmas cheer that I was practicing and exhibiting. We could shop, decorate or bake until we drop and still the joy we get from that Christmas "spirit" would only be temporary; all of its high will eventually wear out as we ware out. There is only one Christmas Spirit that can guarantee our lasting joy, and that is the true Spirit of Christmas. The joy from here is what we desire because it lasts forever. After all, it is true reason for the celebration of the season this is the real Christmas Spirit, the one from the celebration of Baby Immanuel's birthday.

During the month of December the Church offers us a period to reflect on the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. Although the reason for Advent is not referred to in this sense, I've always thought of Advent as the perfect time to find my Christmas Spirit for the holidays and the coming year since the beginning date of Advent happens to fall on the same weekend the frenzy shopping with the mobs begins in all the malls and stores. On the Church calendar this is the first Sunday after the feast of St. Andrew the Apostle (November 30). The word Advent itself means "coming" and is derived from the Latin word "adventus". Advent is designed to give us a spiritual orientation to the coming celebration and time to reflect and prepare for it. In an essence Advent is a spiritual "waiting room". Although preparation is an important theme for Christmas, Advent is much more involved. Advent gives us a vision of our lives as Christians and shows us the possibilities of life. It does this in two-folds; first by asks us to look back to the first coming of Christ at Bethlehem, and then second, it asks us to look forward to the future when Christ will come again for the second and final time. In the interval between these two events we shall find the meaning for our existence and life as Christians.

As we progress through this season, let us invite the Holy Spirit to deepen our appreciation and understanding of all these multiple dimensions of Advent and to stir in us an eager longing and desire to wholeheartedly greet our Savior in all of his comings to us. May we be found living "lives of holiness and Godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God," (2 Peter 3:11-12).

To quote St. Augustine: "Let us not resist the first Advent and the second will not terrify us."

I recently watched a bishop of the Anglican Church state that he was a practicing homosexual and he does not believe it wrong to be one. There are many clergy today who do not accept what God has said in His Word about sexual immorality. Indeed society now accepts those who have chosen an "alternative lifestyle" to that of a normal relationship of marriage between a man and woman. Many of the heads of governments in the western world have allowed the passing of same sex marriage laws. Our own former Prime Minister, David Cameron, actually believes this was one of his greatest achievements in government. Anyone who does not agree with these laws is branded 'homophobic', a term coined by homosexuals.  All Human Beings are equal in God's Eyes.As Christians we are never to be disrespectful to anyone including those who have chosen an 'alternative sexual lifestyle". We may not agree with their choice but our duty is only to point them to God's Word. The Anglican bishop, and all those who profess Christ sincerely believe God will accept them into His kingdom, even though what they do is sinful. They do not seem to be aware that the Bible tells us that we are saved FROM our sins, by accepting Jesus, not IN them. (John 4:22; John 5:34; John 10:9; Acts 2:21,47: Acts 4:12). It is by God's grace that we have been saved, through faith but it is not we who have saved ourselves, it is a gift from God. (Ephesians 2:8). Accepting Jesus means putting off the old man. That is our fleshly lusts, which controlled us before God found us wandering in the wilderness of life. Our outward commitment to Christ is shown when we are baptized by submersion under the water and raised from the water. Symbolically this represents death to our old life and being raised to our new life in Christ. This is the beginning of our journey to heaven. Those who continue to practice the sins of the flesh after they have accepted Jesus should read Hebrews 10:26: "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins". Sin will never again enter heaven, therefore should we not put away sin from our lives? If the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, (1 Cor 6:19-20) and we are abusing it, how can the Holy Spirit live in our temple? Surely He will not reside in someone who practices what God has forbidden! Our temple is also our spirit (our mind). If we are not guided by the Holy Spirit, then our minds will be focused on earthly matters rather than on spiritual things. It does not matter that an earthly government has sanctioned and made legal an immoral act, God Himself, even though He loves the sinner, cannot change His mind to accommodate earthy government laws. Yes He is merciful, but He will never contradict His own Word and therefore as a just God, those who ignore His Will, will have to pay the price for their disobedience.  God never wants anyone to perish and He takes no pleasure in his or her death, (Ezekiel 33:11), but He will never take away our freedom to choose our own lifestyle. We can confess Christ in name; we can say we are Christian's and we can go to Church every Sabbath. We can convince ourselves that even though we are practicing something God says is sin, we are fooling ourselves into believing His great mercy and love for us will override His justice. He cannot protect us if we willfully commit the sins He condemns. Jesus informs us:  "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day,'Lord. Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me you who practice lawlessness!" (Matthew 7:21-23) As I have said above, God cannot change because human law changes to accommodate sinful practices. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they practiced all the abominations that were forbidden by God. They were destroyed as an example of what will happen to all peoples and cities as they move further and further away from God's protection, committing all the same sins as these two cities. (Gen 19:24; Jude 1:7) Our first parents were cast out of the bliss of the Garden of Eden for their sin. They had time to repent during their long years on the earth and received forgiveness. We too will be kept out of heaven if we do not repent and put sinful practices behind us whilst we have time to be forgiven.  The Bible God gave us His Book as a guide to His Will. It is a roadmap pointing to Jesus, who alone can ensure our access to the kingdom of heaven. We cannot just say: "I believe in Jesus" then take no responsibility for our lives. God has given us a brain, a mouth, hands, legs and feet. We are His messengers so we have our part to play. If we call upon Him, He will give us the strength and determination and the opportunity to show our fruit to others. If we willfully ignore the route signs, and wander off in our own direction, then we will never enter eternal rest. Who we believe in and what we think do and say will determine our final destiny. We should understand that we are being judged now - whilst alive, just like the skater on ice who performs in front of judges. The final score comes after the performance. The judges have made up their minds what score to give 'during' the skater's performance. The skater is oblivious to the score until he/she finishes the performance and stands in front of the judges. Judgment of our lives is ongoing in heaven NOW until our final breath. It is the result we receive on Judgment Day. Further On in Time from the Garden of Eden As we get further from the Garden of Eden, a place many today do not believe existed; we get further away from the belief in a Creator God. Evolution is taught as a fact in schools without one shred of evidence to prove we evolved from a primeval swamp, into animals. They reject Ecclesiastes 7:29, which says that: "God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes." Every bit of 'so called' evolutionary evidence can be disputed but because the voice of non-believing scientists drowns out the voice of logic and reason, their views are taken as truth. When these are confronted, they use abuse and derogatory comments to lambast the creationist. This only shows how scared they are of the Word of God! I once wrote to Michael Gove, when he was the UK Education Secretary, to ask why evolution, was allowed to be taught in schools, yet creation cannot be taught? In the letter that I received from his secretary, I was told creation is not a science therefore it cannot be taught in a science class. I found that rather odd because evolution is also not a science, it is a 'theory of origins', just like creationism. To be a science, something has to be proven in a laboratory! Both creation and evolution cannot be tested in a science lab and both are based on faith. Faith in God or Faith in Man? No laboratory tests can establish either one to be truth. Therefore shouldn't both creation and evolution be taught as a subject in school, without excluding the one that is disliked by scientists?  Michael Gove himself professes Christianity but promoted the theory of evolution in classrooms. One wonders which part of the Bible he professes to believe in?  The Book of Genesis is no longer considered divine, because it does not, according to many, (even the Pope), fit in with the 'new truth' of where human's really came from? I am always baffled by those theologians, who are supposed to be the mouth-piece of the Almighty 'the oracles of God,' 'teachers of the way', 'leaders in the truth', as to why they don't believe what is said in Scripture? For thousands of years the Bible has stood the test of time. Jesus himself said not one jot or tittle would be lost! (Matthew 5:18). Theologians are now questioning the Bibles authenticity. Moses Everyone will agree that Moses is attributed with the first 5 books of the Bible. In these books we are informed that Moses met God and spoke to Him in person. (Exodus 3). It was at this time that he asked who God was and God replied "I Am, who I Am". The very words Jesus spoke to say who He was and for which He was nearly stoned by the Jews for putting Himself on a level with God and indeed, saying that He was God. (John 8:58). God passed by Moses (Exodus 34:6). Moses communicated with God (Exodus 19). After spending 40 days in the mountains talking with God, He gave Moses the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20) on two tables of stone written by God's own finger. (the stone signified permanence and the finger importance)(Exodus 32:16). Moses returned to the people below the mountain. He found them worshiping a golden calf. (Exodus 32). In his anger Moses threw down the tables and smashed them on the ground. (Exodus 32:19). After admonishing the people and destroying the golden calf, Moses returned to God in the mountain to receive another set of tablets written by God's own hand for the second time. (Exodus 34).  Moses anger with his brother Aaron must have been very hot? How fickle were the Israelites, who had witnessed all the miracles in the desert - the parting of the Red Sea, (Exodus 14 ); the cloud over the tabernacle during day and the pillar of fire over their camp at night (Exodus 40:3 ). Now, after just a few days of rest under the mountain, they had forgotten about the one true God and returned back to false worship. No doubt many of the Israelites had taken their Egyptian wives, husbands and/or servants on the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land and it was they who persuaded the making of a cow to worship. Did God Instruct Moses to Write a Fable We know God talked directly with Moses and allowed him to see His shape, therefore we have to ask ourselves: 'Did God tell the truth to Moses or instruct him to write a fable?' Is it possible that God said: "My people are primitive. They will not be able to understand that I did not personally create them, but they evolved from a slimy swamp into the creatures they now are? Moses I want you to write a fable so that they will not be overwhelmed by the truth of their origins?"  If this is the case, when did original sin happen? Was there a war between Christ and Satan in heaven? Was there a fall from grace? Was there a plan of salvation? Who created death? And many more questions could be asked about all the stories in the Bible. If God did not create us in his own image and Adam and Eve are fiction, then we are not sinners and we do not have anything in our lives to answer for! The blood sacrifice was unnecessary, there is no final judgment and worse still no final resurrection. Therefore why don't we just 'eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we go to oblivion'. Let's live a full sin loving life because there is nothing after this one!  If there is no law, then there is no sin because sin is the transgression of the law. Therefore as God does not exist, all things are permissible. (Romans 5:13, 3:20; 1 John 3:4). Eternal Life begins with a belief in Jesus as the Son of God. Of course as Christian's we don't believe God could tell a lie or that he would create an elaborate story about the origins of this universe, the earth and its first parents. The account in Genesis is the truth of our creation and because humanity fell from grace through disobedience, we can be assured by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, that we can only have eternal life if we accept Him as the immortal Son of God.  In John 3:16 we read: "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotton Son so that whomsoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". If Moses account of creation was false, then this statement by John would also be false. How can we have eternal life if Christ did not die on the cross? Why would He need to die if there was no original sin? No blood sacrifice would have been necessary and the first lamb slaughtered by Adam was pointless because there was no sin to atone for! Therefore the Jews sacrificial system was a futile exercise and had no meaning. If the man they called Jesus did not die on the cross, but only fainted from loss of blood, then nobody will ever come back to life after they die!  Praise be to God that we will have eternal life because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Does the Devil Exist? Does Satan exist or is he just the evil in us? The Bible tells us that Satan exists. He was a living created angel by the name of Lucifer. Not only was he given great beauty of appearance, he was also given a wonderful voice and a position of authority over the angels. He was at the centre of God's kingdom. You can read all about him in (Ezekiel 28).  A covering Cherub almost as high in position as the Son of God, which was a privileged position and which caused him to believe that he was equal with God. Being a created being, Lucifer was excluded from certain conferences around the table of God. This was an annoyance to him. He questioned why he could not be in the centre circle of the throne room at all times? No doubt God explained the reasons to him, but this was not enough for Lucifer. Puffed up with his own importance (a trait handed down to humanity), he began to murmur against God. God alone can be worshiped but Lucifer wanted that worship. He wanted the place of God therefore he began his movement, quietly at first, to create a division between the angels. God was aware of his discontent and no doubt gently tried to coerce him back on the right path. How long Lucifer held his grudge against God in heaven we do not know but after persuading millions of the angelic host that God was not a benevolent God, war eventually broke out in heaven. Failing in his attempt to overthrow God, Lucifer was cast out with those angels who had sided with him. (Jude 1: 6 & 9; Rev 12:7). His name now became Satan. God knows the end from the beginning and therefore had a plan to end any discord in heaven and its battlefield now on the new earth, but this plan has a time limit.  The Remaining Angels in Heaven Many of the angels left in heaven, which had spoken to Satan and heard his arguments but did not follow him, still had doubts remaining in their minds. 'Was Satan correct and God was truly a dictator?' Doubt would remain with many angels until God's plan of salvation reached the point on earth where the leader of the angelic host - God's Son Jesus, (See also Daniel: 10:13,21; 12:1 and Rev 12:7), was crucified on the cross. Watching events and seeing the pain their loving commander was subjected to when nailed to a wooden cross, completely dispelled all doubts. They were finally persuaded of the purpose and motive of Satan. Never again would they doubt their Creator. Peace and harmony was once again restored in heaven - but not on earth. Satan's short-lived Joy Satan was jubilant when Jesus was crucified. He'd won! And the earth would be his, or so he thought? His jubilation soon turned sour, when on the third day, Jesus rose from the tomb. Putting their heads together, Satan and his angels devised new plans to kill as many of Christ's followers as they could. His hatred was such that the mere sight of a human was enough to send him into a rage, especially when prayers were made to God. What was he to do? How could he get humanity to worship him and not the God of heaven?  False Worship and Deity's As he did with the Israelites, Satan would set up false worship. He had learned that Human beings are very superstitious and very gullible. He began to flood the human mind with false ideas of deity. He produced false documents that contradicted the Biblical account of creation. He concentrated his efforts on the minds of great thinkers. New religions were born, new deities to bow the knee to. Satan did not care if they uttered Jesus name in their prayers, as long as he could keep them from the Bible he would substitute religious practices for the truth. Men would be shackled by tradition rather than following God's word. Once men believed that they had to follow a certain practice to be accepted by God into heaven, he had them in the palm of his hands. If those who fell into his hands had only opened the Bible, they would see that nobody is able do anything without Christ. It is by His merits alone, which guarantees eternal life. Ritual and practice will never get anyone into heaven. All other religions that do not accept Christ as the only way into heaven, have all unwittingly accepted, the false worship initiated by Satan. By creating many religions, Satan has blinded the minds of men to the true God and His Son. It is not the fault of any individual worshipper in non-Christian religions; it is the fault of their leaders who are convinced by their 'holy writings' that they worship a universal God or God's. They then, through convincing argument or dictatorship, create a process the worshipper has to follow if he or she are to please their God. The consequence of their disobedience to their God or Gods is, in some religions met with physical harm and the threat of eternal damnation in the fires of hell. They worship the God of this world without knowing it. It is not popular today to say these things and not long from now it will be considered a hate crime to do so. But we know that only by accepting Christ as God's Son, the Holy Spirit will convict the heart and lead a soul onto the true path to paradise. What is the Devil doing today? In the beginning Satan created monsters; ghosts; goblins; witches and many other abominable things to frighten the minds of men and women. Today he remains hidden, working through the mind of those susceptible to his voice. Men who think they are sophisticated and intelligent are being led to the slaughter and they are taking many unsuspecting people with them. He is working through the movie industry to brainwash millions into believing that dead people can actually live on in human form and contact the living. Computer games are filled with destructive and violent images, which make fun of killing others. Halloween is growing in popularity and children are being encouraged to dress up as something evil, for the sake of fun. Death is seen as a game and not as an enemy of humanity. God is nowhere to be seen, heard or believed in. 'The fool in his heart has said there is no God' (Psalm 14:1: 53:1) Well there are many fools today who believe there is no creator. In fact many believe they are a god! They believe they are 'enlightened' free from the bonds they call 'religion'. Free to choose any direction in life to reach their desired goal no matter how they get there, the end justifies the means. So now they are free to do as they please, their task is to disprove the Bible is inspired.  Led by the devil, they have continued the process that he started in the Garden of Eden. Eve was told that she should not eat of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil or she would die! The devil said'no, not true' God doesn't want you to eat because when you do, you will know good and evil and you will be like God. (Genesis 2:17) God said man was created in His own image.  Man says God was created in man's image. Marriage The Bible says that marriage is God's institution for humanity: Genesis 2:24 'therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh'. Man says no: let man marry a man and a woman marry a woman and lets adopt children and teach them its okay to be with the same sex. It is impossible for a man to be a wife; neither can a woman married to another women become a wife or husband. Nor can they 'become one' as sexual partners if they are the same sex. Marriage is the bond between a male and a female to procreate and populate the planet. Reproduction of the human race is our immortality until the new world arrives. We are the only creatures in the whole universe that can pro-create and extend our lives through our children. We are a unique and beloved creation because we are created in the image of God. There is no other creature in the universe to which God has given part of Himself. We can create, design, manufacture things and pro-create ourselves.  (Note: Angels and those on other un-falling planets do not pro-create) Marriage was given to make a family unit with a Father, Mother and Children, where love is to be nurtured. It was designed to give us a taste of heaven. Sin has marred that taste so many marriages do not work. This is not God's fault nor was it His design. The devil hates all God's designs and wrecks all things God has instituted for man's benefit. It is Satan who has turned marriage into a mockery. God specifically called sexual immorality an abomination and He has not changed His Word.  (See Bible references on sexual immorality below) Climate Change God gave man stewardship of the earth and dominion over it and all the animals. (Genesis 1:20). Bad stewardship is ruining the earth. Instead of nurturing our planet, man is plundering it for his own greed. Climate change, which is partly due to man's misuse of the planet's resources, has taken man's stewardship of the earth away from him. Man is now being controlled by the climate and those in positions of power are making millions by manipulating the planets weather patterns.  Patriarchal System of Government God created a Patriarchal system of government modeled on His own Kingdom, where each person plays their part to help all. Angels in heaven each have specific roles. Gabriel took over Lucifer's role after he was cast out of heaven. Neither Gabriel nor Lucifer could do the work of Jesus. God gave his covenant to Adam before Eve was created giving him dominion over the earth. Eve was created equal with Adam but was given a special role as his helper. (Gen 2:18). She was to support and assist him in all things. Had she not listened to the devil and refused to eat the forbidden fruit, her position would not have changed. However, after disobedience to God's will, Man became the head of woman and she had to bear his children to populate the earth. Of course this did not mean that Adam had the right to treat his wife as his inferior. He was to honour, love and respect her and to treat her as if she were his own flesh. However, man has abused his role as the provider and head of the family. In many cultures they subject women to the role of a slave or merely to gratify their lust. Is it any wonder that women have rebelled and fought back against these tyrannical, dominating men? The fact that a woman is as capable, and in many cases more capable of leadership than that of a man, it was not God's design, under the current world order, for a woman to rule over a man.  The role for each of us male and female, was given to keep order in the universe as well as here on earth. We will all have a specific role to play in the world to come and we will not desire to usurp the place of another. It is because Satan has infiltrated the minds of both men and women that God's rules and law have been broken.  (Note: Those who insist on calling God 'She' do not believe the Bible is given by inspiration of God. (2 Timothy 3:16) The True Sabbath  Satan's final nail in the coffin of God's institution upon this earth will be the desecration of the day of rest, created at the beginning of time. A period of time we call Sabbath, created by God as a rest day for man to reflect on His life and give glory to the Creator. It is His sign of ownership of this world. That is why we are told to 'Remember' the Sabbath. The Seventh Day of the week, a day we call Saturday, which is to be kept as a rest day both here on earth and in the New World. (Isaiah 66:23). The Israelite's kept the creation Sabbath as did Jesus, who is the Lord of the Sabbath (The Lord's Day). (Isaiah 58:13; Luke 6:1,5) The 4th Commandment says 'Remember the Sabbath'.  Man says: no remember the first day of the week as the Sabbath. (Daniel 7:25) Sabbath to Sunday It was a slow process for Sunday to take the place of the Jewish or Creation Sabbath as a day of rest. To accommodate the pagans who worshipped on the 'Venerable Day of the Sun', Emperor Constantine past an edict on the 7th March AD 321 which read as follows: "On the venerable day of the sun (the sacred day) let the magistrates and people residing in the cities rest, and let all the workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not suitable for grain sowing or for vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost." Constantine, claimed to accept the Christian religion, and so amalgamated his pagan, sun-worshiping practices with the religion of Christ. His powers of state were aligned with religious worship. His act was the beginnings of an organization, which would grow into what is known today as the Roman Catholic Church.  The following is some of what the Papacy says about the attempted change from God's Sabbath (Saturday), to Sunday: "Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claims to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles. From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first" (The Catholic Press, August 1900). "Protestantism, in discarding the authority of the (Catholic) Church, has no good reasons for its Sunday theory, and ought logically to keep Saturday as the Sabbath"(American Catholic Quarterly Review, John Gilmar Shea, January 1883.) "It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church" (Elizabeth, N.J. News, March 18, 1903). Question: " Have you any other way of proving that the (Catholic) Church has power to institute festivals or precepts (to command holy days)?" Answer: " Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her: She could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority " (A Doctrinal Catechism, Stephen Keenan, page 176). Satan continues to blind the minds of men and women today. He has reversed or substituted all that God said we should do. He has gained millions of followers who unwittingly or knowingly accept all the changes he has made. By following all of these reversals, we acknowledge that Satan is our master and inadvertently worship him.  The Mark of the Beast (Revelation 13:7) Soon everyone on this planet will have to make a choice between loyalty to God or loyalty to man. The Mark of the beast will be given to those who choose to follow man's religious system of worship and keep Sunday as the Sabbath. Their allegiance to the earthly religious system shows where their loyalty lies and therefore they are marked by this loyalty. The new smart technology will make it much easier to identify those who refuse to follow the establishment. Those whose conscience tells them to follow the Bible and deny the world system, will be persecuted for their defiance. How easy it will be for the authorities to stop any electronic transactions of those whose names are on their list as dissenters? This will make it difficult, if not impossible, for them to purchase or sell anything. But we as Christian's who believe in the protection of God, are not to be afraid when the time comes. God will provide His children's needs. Read the Bible I therefore urge everyone to test all church doctrine by the words in the Bible. Make it your study. Pray for enlightenment when you open its pages. Let the Holy Spirit fill your mind with understanding. Throw out all unscriptural practices and rituals, which will not get you into heaven. Nothing we can do of ourselves can open the door to heaven. Christ and Christ alone paid the price. He is the door through which we all must go. Confession to a priest and receiving absolution, does not absolve you from your sin. Receiving an indulgence does not pardon you with God or give you lighter punishment. Worshiping a human sitting in a large church will not get you into heaven. Praying to saints or anyone but God, whilst acknowledging Christ's merits, is the only way God responds to our prayers.  Is it any wonder that for centuries the Bible was not allowed to fall into the hands of the common man? Anyone who owned a copy or even a part of the Scriptures, and was found out by church authorities was either excomunicated or killed. Why? Because it exposes every false doctrine and worship. That is why it is even more important today to test all doctrine and ritual by Scripture. Call to come out of Babylon (False Worship) Soon there will be a calling to come out of Babylon. (Rev 14:6-8). True believers will hear the Word and leave their churches to join with all true believers who are waiting for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will make a new earth (Rev 21:1) for all His people, where there will be no more death. The earth will once again return to its rightful place in the centre of the universe and the former things will pass away (Rev 21:4). God's dwelling place will be with us. We, who are created in His own image.  Amen

The Mary of the BIBLE is always presented in Christian Scriptures as a humble, obedient, totally human woman, chosen by God to provide half the chromosomes and incubation for our "Kinsman Redeemer", a human body which God would Himself use to redeem mankind.  By contrast, Semiramis of Babylon seeks godhood for herself and was reportedly chosen by Satan to give birth to Baal (Osiris, Moloch, "Sun god"). This process is to repeat itself in the future and produce somehow the Antichrist, the Top of the Pyramid on the dollar bill or the "Capstone of the Arch". 1) WHAT IS THE RANK (POSITION IN AUTHORITY) OF THE BIBLICAL MARY? Want to see what Christ Jesus says?  Mark. 3: 31-35: "And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL DO THE WILL OF GOD, THE SAME IS MY BROTHER, AND MY SISTER, AND MOTHER"  JESUS SAID THAT MARY HAS THE SAME RANK AND STANDING AS EVERY OTHER CHRISTIAN, WHO OBEYS GOD. There is no additional distinction for Mary. 2) DID MARY HAVE OTHER CHILDREN WITH JOSEPH? YES, THE BIBLICAL MARY HAD FOUR OTHER SONS WITH JOSEPH PLUS DAUGHTERS. Mark 6:3 : "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him." Another, mighty religion preaches a totally different "Mary", not the Mary of the Bible. Matt. 1:25.: "And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS".  "Firstborn" means there were other children of Mary later. "Knew her not" means no sexual intercourse (check Strong's Concordance) of Joseph with Mary until after Jesus was born. Biblically, they were indeed husband and wife.  3) WHY IS SEMIRAMIS OF BABYLON IMPORTANT IN THIS? Because some appear to be actually worshiping Semiramis, not any Mary of the Bible. To a near identical description of Semiramis (worshiped in Egypt as Isis, in Greece as Diana, In Rome as Ceres) has, seemingly, been added the name of "Mary". Take a look and decide for yourself.  Semiramis is the greatest, most popular Babylonian deity. The god she brought forth, and who is offered back to her under the symbol of the round wafer (symbol of SUN), as "bread of life", was in reality the fierce, scorching sun or terrible Moloch, yet in that offering all his terror was veiled. The sun-disc displayed behind the head of worshipers was used to honor distinguished members of the sun worshiping cult. The "Mother" was believed to be benignant, merciful, the favorite "divinity". The Madonna of this ancient Religion also entirely eclipses her son, as mother of grace and mercy, "Bona Dea", the "Mediatrix", Aphrodite, ("wrath subduer"), who could by her charms soothe the breast of angry Jove. Some people, faithful to this Babylonian paganism, often present CHRIST (the true Lamb of God, lowly of heart, God's greatest love) as a STERN AND INEXORABLE JUDGE, while "Mary" is set off in the most winning and engaging light. This is simply a different "Christ" and a different "Mary". It is in all reality Semiramis and Horus, not the Christ and Mary of the Bible. 4) THE WORSHIP OF THE SACRED HEART (FLAMING HEART) AND THE ROSARY  Where is there a "sacred heart" in the Bible? Nowhere. It doesn't exist. But it exists in Chaldean mysteries, in Babylon and Egypt, where it was worshiped as a symbol of the "Child Nimrod", or "Bel", the reincarnation of the Sun (fiery and burning; Baal) and represented as a heart of flame (Flaming Heart). This Heart is one of the ancient symbols of Osiris (Baal, Moloch), the infant divinity "born again" to Isis (Semiramis, Diana, Ceres, "Mary"), his mother. This son is called the "strength of his mother", the "boy-god", whose symbol was the heart. While he was recognized by the pagans as a mighty war-god, he was exhibited in his favorite form as a LITTLE CHILD. Semiramis is practically always worshiped and presented in the company of Osiris (Horus, Baal), presented as a woman with a little child. The HEART in Chaldee is BEL and the worship of the sacred heart was under the symbol of the "Sacred Bel", "that mighty one of Babylon", Horus, the "born again". Today, the worship appears to continue and he is given by some the name of "Jesus", but his attributes, as publicized by these movements, are not the attributes of the Jesus of the Bible, but those of Osiris and Bel. A type of Rosary, equally, is no invention of any single religion, but is of the highest antiquity and almost universally found among Pagan nations. Its purpose is the seemingly endless repetition of "prayers" to demons. By contrast, what does God say about it in the Bible? See Matthew 6:7-8: 7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 5) DEAR BROTHER, IF YOU WANT THE BIBLICAL GOD ALMIGHTY, On God's own terms, then FORGET ALL THE SAINTS, THE ANGELS AND THE PRIESTS. Only GOD can forgive sins, all those others, ALTOGETHER, could not forgive a single flea! Or a bedbug? What a colossal deception some have been trusting for their eternity! Most people are familiar with what happens to those trusting in counterfeit money. Getting counterfeit salvation is infinitely more serious. For once, turn directly to our FATHER, the Lord God Almighty, who made you, who suffered for you, who loves you, and ask HIM (no priest, no mediatrix), ask God directly to forgive you your sins!  Then invite Christ Jesus to be the Lord of your Life: "DEAREST LORD JESUS FORGIVE ME MY SINS. I REJECT ALL NON-BIBLICAL RELIGION. COME INTO MY LIFE AND BE THE RULER OF MY LIFE. HELP ME TO LOVE YOU MORE EVERY DAY AND TO OBEY YOU WITH ALL MY STRENGTH AND TO READ YOUR BIBLE DAILY, EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE." The Bible is a love story; written with blood, upon a wooden cross; the story of God's love for you. It is protected by the Signature of God in every original verse and protected by a direct commandment of God, Gal.: 8-9, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." If you invite Christ, and mean it, with an open heart, this prayer will never fail. It will become the greatest thing you will ever have, and it will last forever. Even in this life it will be the greatest happiness you'll know, and a light upon your path. Conversely, to FAIL in this, it will be the GREATEST DISASTER you will ever have, both here and hereafter. After this, clean up your life with the Bible. Check out the guide in "How to read the Bible and clean up your life" in , under Articles. It's made for you. Christians are GOOD PEOPLE. Religion Articles Is Jesus really the Son of God? All Christian belief is based on the fact that He is. But, if a non-believer were to question you on this fact, indeed to challenge you on it, could you respond in an intelligent manner? How do you know that Jesus is the Son of God? It is true that we must have faith that Jesus is God's Son. However, in Acts 1:3 we see that Jesus presented Himself to His apostles after He was resurrected and demonstrated that He was alive "by many infallible proofs." The New Testament is full of examples s. Let's take a look these  at what the Bible has to say in regards to the deity of Jesus. As we look closely at the life and ministry of Jesus we can learn much about what attributes He had that demonstrate that He is God's Son. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." (John 1:1,2) John clearly states at the start of his gospel that Jesus was with God the Father in the beginning. When God was in the process of creating the heavens and earth, all the plants and animals, and man, Jesus was with Him. One of the attributes of God is that He is eternally existent. In other words, having no beginning and no ending. In this passage we see that Jesus also has this attribute of being eternally existent. It is further demonstrated in this passage: "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was." (John 17:5) Jesus said of Himself that He was with the Father before the creation. We also know that God the Father is without sin. So in order for Jesus to be truly God's Son, He too must be without sin. "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." (Hebrews 5:14) Jesus, during His earthly life and ministry, was tempted with the same temptations which we are. Yet He did not give in to the temptations. He did not allow Himself to sin. I have heard people speak on this subject and marvel that He was able to do this. I personally don't feel that the fact that Jesus was able to resist the temptations is something to marvel about. After all, He is God. To Him, the option to sin was simply not an option at all. There are many things about Jesus in which we should stand in awe. But if we believe that He is the Son of God, then we should not be surprised when He acts like the Son of God! For Jesus to be the Son of God, we would indeed expect Him to be without sin. We would also expect Him to have authority. Jesus tells us of His authority: "Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'" (Matthew 28:18) God has given His Son the authority to redeem the world for the sin which is so prevalent. By His freely giving Himself to die on the cross, He exercised that authority. By His resurrection we know that He also has the power to enforce that authority over the devil. We see examples of His authority in other ways also. "'But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins' - He said to the paralytic, 'I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go your way to your house.'" (Mark 2:10,11) The NIV renders the word "power" as authority. So we see that Jesus demonstrated His authority by forgiving the paralytic of his sins. The authority to forgive sin is reserved for God, and He gave His Son this authority as well. Jesus demonstrated His authority by calming the seas, casting out demons, turning water into wine, and raising the dead. He is still demonstrating His authority even today. Have you ever seen a person give himself or herself to Christ and truly marvel at the change that happened to them? I have. I have seen men, who could not complete a sentence without using the Lord's name as a curse or interject other profane words, become a Christian and completely change their vocabulary. I have seen others, who were just right down mean, accept Christ and become a kind and gentle person. And I have seen still others, who appeared as though they thought the whole world was against them, become a Christian and turn into a happy vibrant individual. This is just another way that we can know that Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible tells us of some of the work that Jesus does, and we see that He is the Son of God through this work. "God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;" (Hebrews 1:1,2) This passage tells us that it was through Jesus that God "made the worlds." Jesus was there when creation was going on and He had an active part in it. He is the "heir of all things," or that all things have been given to Him. This is further emphasized in Colossians, "For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist." (Colossians 1:16,17) Another aspect which we shall consider is the fact that Jesus will participate in the punishing of those who do not follow His teachings. "...and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from Heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." (II Thessalonians 1:7,8) We mentioned earlier that Jesus has the authority of all things on earth and in Heaven. Jesus will truly be exercising that authority on the day of judgement. See also: (Revelation 3:16, 19:11-21). In the above passages we see that Jesus has been given authority and power by our Heavenly Father, and that He has and will exercise that authority. The Bible also tells us that Jesus has a "position" of authority. In our society, when someone has authority, we expect them to occupy a certain position. For example, a judge sets on the judge's bench, a CEO of a corporation has a big elaborate office, the President lives in the White House, and so forth. So, does Jesus also occupy a place or position of authority? "And Jesus said, 'I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.'" (Mark 14:62) "But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God." (Acts 7:55) Jesus is at the right hand of the Father today, a position of authority from which He makes intercession for you and I. Isn't it great to know that our Savior is there and ready to make intercession for us when we stumble in our daily Christian walk. Jesus did not beat around the bush when talking about who He was. He made it very clear that He was the Son of God. Time after time He refers to the fact that He is God's Son or that He should be treated as such. When Jesus performed His miracles in the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum the people rejected Him. They did not recognize Him as the Son of God. Jesus therefore reproached or condemned them for their disbelief. In the account of this in Matthew Jesus tells us specifically that all authority has been given to Him: "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father..." (Matthew 11:27a) If indeed Jesus is the Son of God, and has the authority and power over all things, then we - the creation of God - should give honor and praise to Jesus. Jesus taught this to His disciples: "that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." (John 5:23) John 3:16 tells us that God loved us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to this earth so that those who believed in Him could have eternal life. For God to do this for us, and for us to not give Jesus the honor due Him would be a terrible thing.  Jesus also told us many things about Himself that shows that He is the Son of God. He said that He was sent by His Father into the world (John 8:42). He said that He had been appointed judge over all mankind (Matthew 25:31-41). He said that the only way man can receive salvation, the only way to the Father was through Him (John 14:6). Jesus told us that His blood was shed for the remission of sins for many, or for all that accept Him as Lord and Savior (Matthew 26:28). And finally, Jesus said that He could submit Himself to die and raise from the dead under His own power (John 10:18). In a court of law, if there are two witness who will confirm the same set of facts to be true, it is very difficult for the apposing attorneys to disprove their testimony. In the fifth chapter of John we have recorded for us not two, but four forms of witness concerning the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. In verses 31-35 we have the witness of John the Baptist, in verse 36 there is the witness of the works of Christ, in verses 37 and 38 we have the witness of the Father, and in verses 39 through 47 we have the witness of the Scriptures. In like manner, the four gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - also bear witness to the life, ministry, death, burial, resurrection, and deity of Jesus Christ. "When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, 'Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?' So they said, 'Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.' He said to them, 'But who do you say that I am?' And Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.'" (Matthew 16:13-16) Even today people will say that Jesus was someone other than the Son of God. Some say He was a good man, but not the Son of God. Others will say He was a prophet, a great teacher, or a great religious leader but reject Him as the Son of God. Still others say that He was an impostor, or even from Satan. If Jesus is really the Son of God (and He is), then we should follow His teachings and obey His gospel. So the important question for you is not who do others say that He is, but who do you say that Jesus is? I say that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. One of the most beautiful parts of the Bible, in my opinion, are the places where Jesus is called by various names. All these names point to or show that He is God's Son. Let me give you some examples of these beautiful names. "And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." (Revelation 19:16) "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star." (Revelation 22:16) "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, 'Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!'" (John 2:29) "This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone." (Acts 4:11) "But one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.'" (Revelation 5:5) I am closing this article with a passage from the Old Testament. It does not speak about Jesus specifically, but I feel that the message is still applicable. "...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)

Why Do We Need Jesus Learn Why Jesus is So

Important There is only one God; however the God head exist as three distinct persons... God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ and God the Spirit, the Holy Spirit. Join us as we study the concept of the Trinity and the nature of God. The saving work of Christ at the Cross of Calvary is the central pillar of God's redemptive plan. God first showed us the need for salvation, and then He showed us the way to salvation through His son Jesus Christ. Why is Jesus So Important Our Lord and Savior The Importance of Jesus to Salvation The saving work of Christ at the Cross of Calvary is the central pillar of God's redemptive plan. God first showed us the need for salvation, and then He showed us the way to salvation through His son Jesus Christ. We see throughout the Old Testament, stories that speak of Gods deliverance and salvation. As we read we see the plots play out again and again the story of man's ongoing struggle with his sin and the sin of others. This culminates in the New Testament with God's grace and His gift of salvation through Jesus and His death at the cross, to pay for the sins of all humankind. Through the death of Jesus and His resurrection we see the triumph of salvation and the offer of eternal life through accepting the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. Acknowledge that Jesus Christ Died on the Cross for You Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, He did not die to save Himself, He did not die to become a martyr... Jesus died for you, to pay the price for your sins, to reconcile you you with God the Father! The Bible tells us, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 MKJV). This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place and pay the price we could not afford to pay. Who Do You Say That He Is? Almost 2,000 years ago, Jesus asked this question, "But who do you say that I am?" then Peter answered and said, "The Christ of God." (Luke 9:20). Now today, who do you say Jesus is? Your answer to that question can determine where you spend eternity. Your destiny is eternal, thats for sure, what is not set yet is where you will spend your eternity! Who do you say He is? Jesus, God In the Flesh the 2nd Person of the Trinity The Apostle John declares Jesus preexistence in John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Jesus says He is "the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End" (Revelation 1:8). Jesus reigns eternally (Hebrews 1:8), and He exists before all things (Colossians 1:17). What this means is that Jesus did not become God, He always has been God (John 5:18), and is the second Person of the Trinity. Referring to His deity, Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM" (John 8:58). The preexistence of Jesus Christ and the deity of Jesus Christ are inseparable. You cannot accept one and deny the other. Jesus' Incarnation The word incarnation means "in flesh." It denotes the act in which the Son of God took to Himself the nature of humanity through the Virgin Birth (Matthew 1:23). John writes, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14). For Jesus to represent sinful humanity, He had to become a man. His Virgin Birth, which was essential for Him to be sinless, was prophesied long before it occurred (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:18, 23; Luke 1:34-35; and Galatians 4:4). Jesus experienced everything in life that we do: pain, suffering, thirst, hunger, sorrow, anger, and so on. However, Jesus was without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus' Death, Paying the Price for Humanities Sins Once and For All The penalty for our sins is death (Romans 6:23). Jesus died in our place and paid our penalty (Matthew 20:28; John 10:17-18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). Jesus' death on the cross laid the foundation for a righteous God to pardon guilty and sinful people without compromising His righteousness in any way. Jesus resurrection assures us of our future resurrection. Because of His victory over death, we have victory as well. Without the resurrection, there would be no Gospel Message. His resurrection has been proven beyond a shadow of doubt (Matthew 28:5-8; Luke 24:39; John 2Return After His resurrection, Jesus visibly departed from His disciples into heaven (Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9). His ascension and exaltation were necessary to complete the redemptive work of God. His work was not complete when He rose from the dead (Mark 16:19; Philippians 2:9; Ephesians 1:20-21; Hebrews 1:3). Jesus Christ will return to this earth and receive His church, the body of Christ, to Himself during the Rapture. (John 14:1-4; Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7). Bible Verse Regarding Sin and Salvation through Jesus Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." Luke 1:30-35 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. "And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end." Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?" And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Luke 9:20 "But who do you say that I am?" then Peter answered and said, "The Christ of God." John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 5:17-18 But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working." Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Romans 4:24 - 5:2 It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, 15:6 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures... After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. Colossians 1:16-17 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Hebrews 1:8 But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom..." 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit. Revelation 1:7-8 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."0:27-28). The empty tomb, the shape of His linen wrappings, and His appearances to many after His crucifixion were just a few of the credible evidences of His resurrection. Jesus' Ascension, Exaltation and

Why Is The Resurrection Of Jesus Important

The Historical Resurrection Of Jesus. Jesus' resurrection is many times thought of in abstract terms or just treated as a form of a holiday with the celebration of Easter each year. In reality it is the most important historical event that has ever occurred in the world. This unique historical event consisted of Jesus, in human form, dying on the cross and then three days later being resurrected from the dead to live forever. As Jesus was in human form, His resurrection proved that man can have complete victory over death and live forever in their glorified body. Other people were resurrected from the dead, but later died at the end of their natural life. Jesus only died once and then was resurrected forever (Romans 6:9). Faith In The Jesus' Resurrection. A key part of Christian faith is the belief in the actual resurrection of Jesus. A resurrection where Jesus was in human form and he was brought back from death to live forever. Jesus' resurrection proves to us in no certain terms that God has complete power over death. If you believe that Jesus' resurrection actually occurred, then it follows that you believe that all humans can have victory over death. If you believe in Jesus, you can have internal life (John 11:25). Christians with assurance can place their faith and hope in God above all else because of the Jesus' resurrection (1Peter 1:21). The Resurrection Spirit. The Bible says that we can have the same spirit in us as the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). This is another assurance for Christians that explicitly tells us that we will have eternal life as we will go through the same resurrection as Jesus Christ. The spirit of God that is in all Christians will defeat death. This resurrection will happen just like the resurrection of Jesus when the spirit of God in Him defeated death. On Judgement Day, all believers will receive their glorified body and live forever. Scriptures Concerning The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:9, Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  John 11:25, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  1 Peter 1:21, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Romans 8:11, But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
